xx Leibniz und die Ökumene: Report
« Thread started on: Nov 17th, 2009, 09:47am »

Here is a report (In German) of an international workshop on Leibniz and ecumenicalism by Hartmut Rudolph:

http://hsozkult.geschichte.hu-berlin.de/tagungsberichte/id=2852&count=2696&recno=2&sort=datum&order=down

Summary:

It was the first time that Leibniz's ecumenical ideas had been discussed in an international conference. The main intentions of this event were an analysis of the texts which give a new insight into the specific Leibnizian ecumenical methods in the context of the negotium irenicum between Lutherans and Calvinists 1697 ff. (see Vorausedition of A IV,7) on the one hand and a survey on references to Leibniz in the catholic theology since the timnes of enlightenment and the question, how far Leibniz's ideas are mirrored in the actual ecumenic discourse.
