Leibniz and the emperor

Leibniz spent a long time in Vienna in the beginning of 18th century. Does anyone have any insight what was his relation to the Emperor? I know that Leibniz tried to introduce some plans for a scientific academy, but was not very successful. Anything else?

I was answered privately in this matter by Siegmund Probst, of which I thank him. In the new volume of Academy Ausgabe, Reihe I, Bd 19 there are some new facts concerning Leibniz's relationship with Emperor and my recommendation is to read the preface if you are interested in this question. There's lot to learn from...
